About

Join Canadian Yeti and kick things up a notch! Join in public and members-only discussions about the latest gaming and anime series. While the overwhelming majority of content is child friendly, this is a place for more in-depth, mature and philosophical conversations about gaming and anime.

Here you will find gaming and anime-related content that may not suit all audiences. We will be discussing topics that can be sensitive to some viewers, listeners or readers

Consider yourself forewarned.

Many people consider anime to be equivalent to Saturday morning cartoons, which could be further from the truth. Anime culture is quite broad and covers a wide array of different subject matter, from silly little children’s anime like Bananya, which features a cat slash banana hybrid, to shows like the Dragon Ball Z and One Piece, to something more sinister like Death Note or even as ghoulish, pun fully intended as Tokyo Ghoul.

A series like “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” which on its surface appears to be another Isekai anime, is so much more. It raises serious questions surrounding false allegations and how those allegations can destroy a person’s entire reputation. It also raises questions about sexual assaults and how we treat those crimes, and the biases that we all have towards the accused.

I will publish links to the members-only content on my website, but here is where we can gather together and talk about those more in-depth subjects. Subjects discussed here cannot be published on other platforms like YouTube or Facebook. People who wish to be members who made donations on other media will be given an automatic discount code to sign up without doing any additional work or paying for an additional subscription.
